Our AGM took place on the 13th of July through Zoom. Thankfully it was well attended and we were able to make the necessary changes to the main committee, including the election of a new chairperson, secretary and treasurer.

Billy White has served as chairperson for the last three years and has remained in that position for the maximum time allowed. He was a great chairman who was a steady and wise presence on the main committee and always happy to represent the club at our exhibitions and the IPF club competitions, no matter how far away we had to travel. Billy is a great teacher and mentor and has always been on hand to help nurture and inspire our members to become better photographers. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Billy for a job well done.

Our new chairperson is Liz Stowe. Liz has served as club secretary for the last three years and was a natural fit to fill the position of club chairperson. She has been a member of the club since the beginning and has worked on the exhibition, education, website and IPF competition committees over the last six years. She has also set the club calendar as part of her role as club secretary, booking speakers and working with the various sub-committees to create an interesting and comprehensive year for our members.

Anne Nathan will take over from Liz as club secretary. Anne has also been in the club since the beginning and has worked very hard on the competition committee over the last few years. She was also part of the team that kept the club going through Zoom during lock down. Anne has become an integral member of the club and will be a wonderful secretary.

Huge thanks to Claire Savage who has come to the end of her term as club treasurer. She was a diligent and dependable member of the main committee and was very committed to the club. Claire has also been a member of our club since the start and served three years on the competition committee before moving into the treasurer role. Claire will now help to run the Zoom meetings for the foreseeable future.

Our new treasurer is Paul Reardon. Paul joined the club a little later than the other main committee members and during his time with us he has worked on the outings committee. He has kept us all entertained over the years with his dry wit and great sense of humour. The club accounts are in great hands.
